Privacy Policy — BuildSmart Pro

Overview

BuildSmart Pro helps you plan construction projects, estimate costs, and manage tasks. We designed the app so your project data stays on your device first. Optional cloud sync connects only to a backend URL you configure (for example your GoDaddy VPS).

We do not sell your personal information. This app does not require a user account to use core features.

Information we collect

Data you enter

Project names, floor plans, cost estimates, planner tasks, and region or unit preferences
Optional cloud sync URL you enter in Settings

Data stored on your device

Project data is saved locally using on-device storage (SharedPreferences on mobile, localStorage in the web app). You control this data and can delete it at any time from Settings.

Cloud sync (optional)

If you enable cloud sync, project payloads are sent to your configured API server over HTTPS/HTTP (for example http://208.109.215.53:8004). That server is operated by you or your provider—not by BuildSmart Pro unless we host it for you. Review your server operator’s policies for data stored there.

What we do not collect by default

No advertising identifiers
No third-party analytics SDKs in the mobile app
No automatic upload of your projects without a configured cloud URL

How we use information

Display and save your projects, estimates, and plans
Sync projects to your optional backend when you connect cloud sync
Generate rule-based planner suggestions when the API is reachable

Sharing

We do not share your project data with third parties for marketing. Data leaves your device only when you use Share, cloud sync, or open external links you choose.

Data retention & deletion

Local data remains until you delete it or uninstall the app. In the mobile app: Settings → Delete all app data. In the web app: Settings → Clear All Local Data.

To remove cloud copies, delete projects in the app (which sends DELETE to your synced backend when connected) or delete records on your server directly.

How to delete your data

Children

BuildSmart Pro is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do.
