GarageSale (“we”, “our”) is a peer-to-peer marketplace for local second-hand goods. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.
1. Data we collect
- Account data — email and profile details if you register.
- Listings — titles, prices, conditions, locations, descriptions, and photos you post.
- Device settings — theme and language preferences stored on your device.
- Technical logs — basic server logs when you use our API (IP, timestamps).
2. How we use data
We use your data to show listings, sync between devices, improve reliability, and respond to support requests. We do not sell personal data.
3. Storage (hybrid)
Listings and preferences are stored locally on your device (hybrid local storage) and may sync to our GoDaddy backend API on port 8004 when available. You can use the app offline with local data only.
4. Sharing
Listing content you publish is visible to other users. We do not share private account credentials with third parties except as required by law or to operate hosting infrastructure.
5. Deletion
You can delete your account and data from Settings → Delete account & data in the app, or follow instructions on our Delete Account page.
6. Children
GarageSale is not directed at children under 13. Do not provide personal information if you are under 13.
