Doctor Schedule App - Data Deletion Instructions

Important Notice
Data deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Once you delete your account or data, it cannot be recovered. Please make sure to export any data you wish to keep before proceeding with deletion.
Methods to Delete Your Data
We provide multiple ways to delete your data to ensure you have full control over your information:
Method 1: In-App Deletion (Recommended)
Complete Account Deletion
To permanently delete your account and all associated data:
- Open the Doctor Schedule app on your device
- Log in with your credentials
- Navigate to Settings tab (bottom navigation bar)
- Scroll down to the Data Management section
- Tap on "Delete Account" (highlighted in red)
- Read the warning message carefully
- Tap "Confirm Delete" to proceed
- Your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted immediately
- You will be logged out and redirected to the login screen
Partial Data Deletion
To delete specific types of data without deleting your entire account:
- Open the Doctor Schedule app on your device
- Navigate to Settings tab
- Scroll down to Data Management section
- Tap on "Manage My Data"
- Select the data types you want to delete:
- Old Schedules: Delete schedules older than 1 year
- Appointment History: Delete completed appointments
- Location Preferences: Delete saved location preferences
- Tap "Delete Selected"
- Confirm your selection when prompted
- The selected data will be permanently deleted
Data Export (Before Deletion)
To download a copy of your data before deleting:
- Open the Doctor Schedule app on your device
- Navigate to Settings tab
- Tap on "Export My Data"
- Wait for the export to complete
- Save the JSON file to your device
- Your data file contains all schedules, locations, and doctor information
Method 2: Email Request
If you are unable to use the in-app deletion feature, you can request data deletion via email:
What Data Gets Deleted
Complete Account Deletion removes:
- Account credentials (username, password)
- Profile information (name, email, phone number)
- All schedules and appointments
- Location preferences and saved locations
- Duty requests and time-off requests
- Notification preferences
- All other data associated with your account
What Data is Retained (even after deletion):
- Anonymous usage statistics (not linked to your identity)
- Crash reports and performance data (anonymized)
- Data required for legal compliance (if applicable)
Data Retention Period
- In-App Deletion: Data is deleted immediately upon confirmation
- Email Request: Data is deleted within 48 hours of request verification
- Backup Data: Backup copies are automatically purged within 30 days
- Legal Hold: Data required for legal purposes may be retained as required by law

Q: Can I recover my data after deletion?
A: No. Data deletion is permanent and irreversible. Please export your data before deleting.
Q: How long does it take to delete my data?
A: In-app deletion is immediate. Email requests are processed within 48 hours.
