Delete Your Data
Delete data on your device (mobile app)
- Open Smart Highlighter on your Android or iOS device.
- Tap the Privacy icon in the top app bar.
- Open Privacy & Data.
- Tap Delete All Local Data and confirm.
This permanently removes from your device:
- OCR text and AI highlights
- Bookmarks and study notes
- Reading progress and local app preferences
Request deletion of server-processed data
If you used AI features (summaries, quizzes, flashcards) or cloud OCR, text or images may have been sent to our server. To request backend deletion, email:

Subject line: Data Deletion Request - Smart Highlighter
Data deleted vs retained
- Deleted immediately: local app data when you use Delete All Local Data
- Deleted on request: backend processing data (within 30 days of verified email)
- May retain: support emails for legal/security; anonymous logs without personal content
